Find the Goodness in People, Not Faults

Find the Goodness in People, Not Faults

In the name of Allah, the Ever Gracious, Entirely Merciful
Well, believe it or not, dear brothers and sisters, it has been a full solid week since my previous post. And to be completely honest, it really scares me how fast time flies.
Anyways, for this week’s post, I feel compelled to write about a topic that I believe a lot of us can relate to.
Okay, let me give you a few simple situations.
situation 1: Have you ever had to work with a person whom is so pessimistic, always finding faults of others, and thinks he/she is the most perfect being in this world?
situation 2: Have you ever judged negatively of another person by a “first impression”? Is it right or proper for you to do such judgement without even getting to know that other person?
did you know that;
as muslims, this negative behaviour is strongly frowned upon?
I find great pleasure in reminding you, dear brothers and sisters, that the heart of every Muslim is filled with love for the last Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and this love of the Messenger of Allah is an asset for him. Love and respect of a person depends on the benefits we get from him.
Therefore, what are the benefits that we have attained from our beloved Prophet’s teachings?
Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) taught us through his perfect character to;
  • be a cheerful person
  • optimistic
  • never criticize others
If we truly love our Prophet, then, we will do our ultimate best to follow his footsteps. Our dearly missed and beloved Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was not a fault finder, nor did he overly praise the others.
So, next time, please think twice before you decide to judge another person negatively or find other peoples’ faults. Just try to look into the mirror and reflect upon yourself first.
Be the change, and that change starts with you!
